The South Gippsland Division of General Practice is committed to supporting doctors in the provision of high quality health care.

To achieve this, the Division aims to:

• Provide high quality education programs for doctors
• Assist doctors to keep up to date with health issues at the local, state and national levels
• Encourage individual doctors' specialist medical interests


• Link doctors with health authorities, hospitals, allied health professionals, community groups and consumers
• Support & encourage doctors to become involved in community education
  
• Recruit and retain doctors in the area by promoting and enhancing the quality of lifestyle for doctors in South Gippsland
• Develop improved communication between doctors in the region, thus overcoming distances between practices and the feelings of isolation.
